Here is the Marketer’s worst nightmare. They decide to call their alfalfa sprouts “Let’s Grow Healthy Together”, only it turns out the sprouts are carrying salmonella. I guess that wasn’t quite what they had in mind. If you live in Texas, throw this stuff out.
The rest of us will have a good laugh. A sobering laugh, but a laugh never the less, just thinking about the fact that a so-called organic “healthy” product can be as deadly dangerous as the worst processed food.
I swear. Sometimes it looks like our only alternative is Stone soup.

RECALL Green Valley Food Corp. “Let’s Grow Healthy Together!” Alfalfa Sprouts 5 oz. containers because of a possible health risk.

Green Valley Food Corp. of is recalling 650 cases of “Let’s Grow Healthy Together!” Alfalfa Sprouts 5 oz. containers, because the results showed to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
“Let’s Grow Healthy Together!”Alfalfa Sprouts 5 oz. containers were distributed in Texas via truck deliveries to all customers in Texas. All customers were retail chains and food distribution centers. If you are a customer affected by this recall you will be receiving a letter asking for the quantities you were shipped and their whereabouts. Please, respond as soon as possible.
