Hot Daze Cuke Cooler: The Vodka answer

By on July 16, 2011

Been out weeding in the garden? Exhausted from a long work week?  Here’s our answer.  A long, tall drink made from best quality vodka, a cucumber from the garden, sprigs of basil, a lemon twist, orange wedges and mint sprigs.  Finish it off with Pellegrino lemon seltzer.  Now, that’s refreshing.

For each long, tall glass:

2 shots 044 (best quality quadrupled distilled) vodka

¼ English cucumber, diced

Handful chopped basil

Lemon twist

Orange wedges

3 mint sprigs

Splash Pellegrino lemon seltzer

Fresh ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and give it a vigorous shake, then pour into the glass.  Put your feet up.  Have a drink.  Now, you feel better.  Don’t you.
